In a thrilling display of football prowess, week 9 of the Exeter Sunday 5-a-side league took place last night, witnessing some of the most passionate performances this season. The Premier League and Division 1 matches were the highlight of the evening with some unexpected outcomes and notable performances.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, Scorinbread United and Steau Needarest clashed in a fiercely contested match, which ended with Steau Needarest coming out on top by a margin of 8-6. Smeg United managed to clinch a narrow victory over Robbenyourkids FC with a final scoreline of 4-3. The evening witnessed an exceptional performance by Marco Lekkas from Steau Needarest, who took his game to a whole new level, scoring a whopping total of 5 goals and securing the top scorer title in the Premier League division.
DIVISION ONE
Division 1 saw Bikini Bottom Boys defeat Roddys Roundup with a decisive 6-2 victory whereas Dusty Ballers emerged victorious against IDIDYAMOTHERWELL by 5-3. The most outstanding performance came from George Penman of IDIDYAMOTHERWELL, who scored a commendable total of 3 goals, making him the top scorer in the Division 1.
In a worthy mention, this week's most valued player award went to Lewis Piper from Smeg United. Piper's exceptional play throughout the match was a standout performance that added significant value to his team.
