IN AN EXCITING CONCLUSION to the Exeter Sunday 5 a side Football league, we saw teams battle it out for the top spots in the two divisions, namely, Premier League and Division 1. This was the final week of the season, that marked the end of a thrilling competition with results that kept fans on edge.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, the Dusty Ballers crushed 5 Guys 1 Cup FC with an overwhelming 18-5 victory, largely thanks to the impressive performance of Coby Smith. Smith was the top scorer in the Premier League this week, racking up an impressive total of 6 goals for Dusty Ballers. Despite this, it was the Bikini Bottom Boys who emerged as the overall winners of the Premier League division, boasting a total of 16 points and 7 wins.
DIVISION ONE
Switching gears to Division 1, we saw the Goon Goblins beat IDIDYAMOTHERWELL, 9-5, and Roddys Roundup thrashing 1561 United with an astounding score of 18-3. The top scorer of Division 1 was the unstoppable C.K., who scored a total of 10 goals for Roddys Roundup. Yet, it was team Steau Needarest that triumphed in the end, winning Division 1 with a total of 20 points and 10 wins.
The highlight of the week was the crowning of the most valued player. Szymon Niemirowicz from Goon Goblins took home this coveted title, demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the season. As we look back on the season, we await with anticipation for what the next season holds for the Exeter Sunday 5 a side Football league.
