Exeter Sunday 5 a side news | WEEK 6

In another thrilling week of the Exeter Sunday 5-a-side Football League, competition heated up as teams in the Premier League and Division 1 divisions battled it out in the week 6 fixtures.


PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Scorinbread United proved their dominance once again with a staggering 19-3 victory over 5 Guys 1 Cup FC. The Bikini Bottom Boys also made their mark by outperforming Dusty Ballers with a 7-4 win. However, the highlight of the night was the spectacular performance by Net Six and Chill as they crushed Cr4pFC with a 17-2 scoreline. Ellis Williams of Net Six and Chill was the standout player in this division, finding the net an impressive 10 times, making him the top scorer in the Premier League division for the week.


DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the spectators witnessed a high-scoring game as Steau Needarest outplayed Goon Goblins with a 12-4 win. Conor Bickle was in formidable form, scoring 7 goals for Steau Needarest, earning him the top scorer title in Division 1 for this week. The tie between Bonsai United and Roddys Roundup was also a nail-biter, ending in a 7-7 draw.


The most valued player of the week was Bonsai United’s Josh Cox, who despite the draw, displayed exceptional skill and sportsmanship on the field. His contributions were instrumental in keeping Bonsai United competitive in the league.


The Exeter Sunday 5-a-side Football League continues to deliver exhilarating performances, showcasing local talents and fostering a strong spirit of sportsmanship among the teams. As we proceed into the 7th week of the season, fans and players alike eagerly anticipate what the upcoming games hold.
