The Exeter Sunday 5-a-side Football League saw its week 8 unfold with a set of thrilling matches, full of goals and spectacular performances. The teams of the Premier League and Division 1 divisions were in the spotlight, displaying incredible skill and agility on the field.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League division, the night witnessed an exciting clash between Scorinbread United and IDIDYAMOTHERWELL, with the latter team emerging victorious by 6-4. Steau Needarest battled it out against Smeg United, only to be defeated by a staggering 10 goals to 3. Smeg United's star player, Lewis Piper, took the limelight by securing the top scorer spot for the week, nailing an impressive 6 goals.
DIVISION ONE
Meanwhile, in Division 1, the goal frenzy continued. 5 Guys 1 Cup FC demonstrated their dominance against Barely Athletic, scoring a remarkable 10 goals to just one. Queens Park Strangers 2 and Bonsai United's match ended in a close encounter, the former winning 7-5. Mboomby UTD, however, stole the show with a 14-5 win over Multiple Scoregasms. B.S of 5 Guys 1 Cup FC was the top scorer in Division 1, netting a total of 5 goals.
The standout performance of the week came from Charlie Carstairs of Mboomby UTD, who was declared the most valued player of the week.
With only two weeks left in the season, the anticipation builds as teams vie to secure their places for the next season.
