HEAVITREE 5 A SIDE - WEEKLY ROUND UP

The gap between our top 3 and the rest narrowed last night as our Sunday 5 a side league in Heavitree served up a feast of exciting games. Leaders Oldham Pathetic were held by 3rd placed Scorinbread in a great game that ended 4 - 4. The Elite missed the opportunity to close in on the top place but they were also held to a point as St Annes Wanderers put in a great performance in the high scoring match that finished 6 - 6 . Captain Marc Joslin bagging 4 for The 2nd placed Elite. 

Peakers Athletic and Fatzio both made up ground with good wins in their games this week. Peakers had 6 goals from the boot of Ben Sims to thank for their 8 - 2 win over Steau Needarest and Fatzio's great start in the league continued as Ian Davie netted 5, backed up by 4 each from Rich Tuckett and Joe Walker in their 16 - 3 win against Chevalier Utd.

We reach the halfway point in the season next week and the table is starting to take shape with both the title golden boot race wide open so lots to play for in this exciting league.
