Heavitree Sunday Night 5 A Side

JP Signs continued their progress towards their 1st Leisure League league title last night as we ticked off week 9 of our season of 5 a side in Heavitree. The Exeter Sunday league season has 5 weeks to run now and with the lead at 6 points it seems hard to imagine the title going anywhere else. Captain Josh Peek led his side to a 5 - 3 win this week with a well taken hat-trick closing the gap on his team mate Ryan Clarke in the race for the golden boot. Chris Hodges of Oldham Pathetic isn't far behind though and his double strike last night ensured his side kept some pressure on the leaders as they secured a solid 6 - 3 win over Go Gib or Go Home. In mid table there was a tidy 10 - 2 win for Scorinbread over Steau Needarest while Tony Flair and Divine Interception recorded a 0 - 0 having both given notice of their absence this week.

Well played to all our teams, so good to have the longer evenings now and soon our games will be played in the warmth of summer which is a real positive as we head into the business end of our season. Thanks to Neil for managing match night for us as usual. If any new teams are keen to get involved in this league it's a great time to register your interest. There are potentially a few spaces coming up so get in now and be ready to jump in if they do. Contact Rob for info on 07538562547 or just sign up online using this link.

Just a reminder that there are no games next Sunday (9th April) as it is Easter Sunday. We hope everyone involved in the league has a wonderful Easter and we look forward to getting back to action on Sunday 16th April.
