Following a continued increase in demand we were delighted to launch our new and expanded season of 5 a side football in Heavitree last night. We embarked on the first week of the season, with 4 new teams becoming part of Division 1 where they will battle it out for promotion to the top tier. Week One served some some brilliant games, lets run through what took place.

In the Premier League, the Dead Ballers FC narrowly clinched a victory against Steau Needarest with a score that read 7-6 at the final whistle, Jack Kissane started the campaign with a bang as he contributed a brilliant 6 goals. Meanwhile, Scorinbread United showcased their early season dominance by defeating the Dusty Ballers 6-3. However, the most defining match of the Premier League was between Oldham Pathetic FC and Receding FC, with the latter emerging victorious in a dazzling display of football with 14 goals to 2. A brilliant start for our defending champions JP Signs who have had a rebrand between seasons.

Over in Division 1, Inter Ya Nan managed to surpass Un-Athletico Madrid, winning by 8-4. Joe Palmer, the top scorer for Inter Ya Nan, scored a total of 3 goals, propelling his team to a well-deserved victory. The Pinhoe Dome Raiders also marked their territory by defeating Relegation Rovers 6-2.

Amidst the intense competition and nail-biting matches, Ant Chui from HKger EXE stood out in his points match, receiving the title of the most valued player for the week. His exceptional skills and sterling performance have set the standard for the rest of the season.
