NEW TEAM JOINS SUNDAY 5 A SIDE IN HEAVITREE

We are delighted to welcome Stuart and his team Fatzio to our Sunday Night 5 a side league in Heavitree. Stuart knows the league well having previously managed and played here so it's great to see him back with a new team. Fatzio slide straight into the vacant space and will kick off their campaign next Sunday against 2nd placed Scorinbread Utd. We wish them well for that and for the remainder of the season. 

It could be a tough introduction to the league for the new boys as Scorinbread are one of the form sides in the current season and they enjoyed a good 8 - 2 win last night against Chevalier Utd. Oldham Pathetic remain top after another win this week, they had to work hard for it though with Steau Needarest putting up a great fight and will feel slightly disappointed not to have taken a point home with them, 6 - 5 the final score in this one and the leaders remain ahead on goal difference. Reigning champions The Elite are still in touch with the top two and also picked up points last night. Their 9 - 7 win over Peakers Athletic coming thanks to goals from Dave and Marc with 3 each but fair play to Peakers who pushed all the way, these games are a lot closer than the league table might suggest it seem the top sides in the table just have the edge on getting over the line in their matches.
