Kebab and Mac's top the tables at Chatham Monday 5 a side

It was great to see all 12 teams in attendance last night for match day 2 of the season at our Chatham Monday 5 a side league. We returned to action at Holcombe Grammar School after a week off for the bank holiday.

Maradona Kebab went top of the Premier League as they won an entertaining game with Skinners FC 8-5. The goals for Kebab were shared around as Dave hit a hat-trick to add to braces from Ash and Kai while Marc also got on the scoresheet. Skinners played their part in a fantastic match and found the target through Reece 2, Chris Skinner 2 and Andrew Skinner. Murder On Zidane's Floor returned to the league after missing the first game of the season and came back with a bang winning 3-0 against AC Me Rollin. Goals from Callum, Owen and Sam. Scottswood were also not able to make the opening game but with players back and captain Craig Taylor in form they ran out 7-0 winners against Get Your Scally Out. Taylor with 5 and Gino Fernandez with the other two.

New team Mac's are looking good in Div 1 as they began with a 6-0 win over Crossley. This puts them top of the table as Ant, Nathan Daniels and James all scored twice. Weinstein Wanderers stay second and unbeaten as they drew 1-1 with Gylfi Pleasures. Ethan with the strike for Wanderers while captain Luca Di Massa scored for Gylfi. Finally 66 Lions picked up their first ever win after Dan W struck twice to get the better of 6* Skills 2-0.
