Chatham Monday 5 a side match night round up!
It was a full turn out again this week with all teams in attendance at our Chatham Monday 5 a side league at Thinking Fitness. We are looking to extend to a 4th division next season with 4 teams already on the waiting list so if you'd like to get involved please register your team now to guarantee your place.
In the Premier League we saw the top two teams face each other with everything riding on the result with the teams level on points and a similar goal difference. The home team Obi Wan Iwobi took the game to Cats On Tour and came out of it victorious 4-1, Ollie bagging a brace to send Iwobi top and two points clear. Reigning champions AC Me Rollin got back to winning ways this week with a 7-3 win against Scottswood, Ben Carlile with 4 goals. Pheasant Pluckers hit double figures with a 10-4 win away to Beercelona, Ash Smith registering a hat-trick only to be outdone by teammate Brandon who netted 5 times.
There's no catching Special Olympiakos in Div 1 as they march on towards the perfect season after another win, this week beating Skinners 6-2 as Liam smashed in 4 goals for them. Mush Men move up into second spot after a 7-4 win away to The Sniffers while Ji Sung Park The Bus defeated Borstal FC 6-4, Ji Sung's captain Kane Andrews with a brace.
It is still tight in Div 2 with the top 4 sides only separated by 3 points. Leaders Dirt Washers enjoyed a 4-1 win away at Workrate with Adam recording a hat-trick, they hold a one point advantage over Macs who caught Woodbleak on an off day as they defeated them 10-0, Nathan Daniels and Scott F both scoring 4 times. Finally in a very low scoring game for 5 a side, Tom scored the only goal of the game as Get Your Scally Out beat MrsBrandtsBoys 1-0.
