Chatham Monday 5 a side news - match day 3

CHATHAM MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 3

The third week of Chatham Monday’s 5 a side Football League proved to be an action-packed event with some unexpected twists and turns, leading to one of the most competitive weeks we've ever had at the league. Across divisions one, two and three, teams battled it out on the field, each vying to be recognised as the league champions.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, the match between Obi Wan Iwobi and Bligh A Side ended with a 4-2 victory for Bligh A Side. Nigel Bens XI and Pheasant Pluckers offered us a thrilling match that ended in an exciting 4-4 draw. The match between Mac's 3.0 and Borstal Bums saw a clear winner, with Borstal Bums sealing a 7-3 triumph. The high-scoring match between Goals Aloud and Cadiz Nuts CF ended with an 8-6 win for Goals Aloud. Brandon Ball of Pheasant Pluckers emerged as the top scorer in Division 1, netting a total of four goals.

DIVISION TWO

In Division 2, Beercelona managed to secure a commanding 6-2 win over Snus Warriors. Unathletico Madrid scraped past Skinners FC with a narrow 5-4 victory. There was a high scoring game between Scottswood and Gayson Mount, with Mount claiming the win at 5-3. The match between Rapid Viagra and Holcombe Goons ended in a 4-4 draw. The top scorer in this division was Aaron Azzopardi from Gayson Mount, who scored three goals.

DIVISION THREE

Division 3 saw a close match between Tekkerslovakia FC and Barely Athletic, ending 4-3 in favour of Tekkerslovakia. Workrate FC managed a narrow victory over Nutty Sauce FC with a 2-1 win. Lastly, Cokane United pulled off a 4-3 victory against Maroon 5. The top scorer in Division 3 was Manuel Currypowder of Tekkerslovakia FC, who scored four goals.

As the season progresses, we are seeing teams and players pushing their limits and producing high-quality football. The upcoming weeks promise even more thrilling matches as the battle for top spot in each division continues. As we have seen in this weeks results the margins are very slim in every division which has lead to some exciting games.

Thank you to Ash and all our referees and players, good luck next week!
