CHATHAM MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 5
In Week 5 of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League, football enthusiasts were treated to a display of skill and competitiveness across Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the evening was lit up by a fantastic display from Nigel Bens XI who defeated Bligh A Side with a thrilling 9-4 victory. Pheasant Pluckers also put on a compelling show, outscoring Goals Aloud 8-3 with Brandon Ball of Pheasant Pluckers making headlines by bagging an impressive five goals to send them top. Meanwhile, Borstal Bums secured a tight 4-2 win over Cadiz Nuts CF to remain second on goal difference.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, we witnessed a nail-biting draw between the top two Skinners FC and Beercelona, both teams ending the night with an equal 5-5 score. Scottswood triumphed over Snus Warriors 7-3 while Rapid Viagra fell short to Unathletico Madrid, who took the game 6-3. Isaac Owen of Skinners FC stole the show in Division 2, netting three goals.
DIVISION THREE
Lastly, Division 3 saw Nutty Sauce FC deliver a stellar performance with a resounding 7-0 triumph over Barely Athletic. Maroon 5 and Tekkerslovakia FC ended on a stalemate with a 1-1 draw. Get Your Scally Out FC and Workrate FC kept us on the edge of our seats with a 4-4 draw, with Sam Lovey of Get Your Scally Out FC leading the the scoring charts this week with four goals. Finally Cokane United moved into the promotion spot with a 10-4 victory over new boys Haven't Got A Kalou with both Bailey Dunn and Lloydie Pennant hitting hat-tricks.
This week of the Chatham Monday League has certainly been an exciting spectacle, with teams and players demonstrating their grit and passion for the beautiful game. We are looking forward to the action that next week promises to deliver.
