CHATHAM MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 7
In the heart-pounding seventh week of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League, we were treated to a spectacle of skill and strategy across the three divisions. The high-paced action demonstrated once again why this local league has such a devoted following.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Bligh A Side edged out Mac's 3.0 in a high-scoring game that ended 9-6. Nigel Bens XI proved their prowess with a decisive 6-1 win over Goals Aloud. Cadiz Nuts CF added to the excitement with a 6-3 victory over new team Selecao while Pheasant Pluckers narrowly overcame Borstal Bums 3-2 in the top of the table clash to go two points clear of their rivals. The standout player in Division 1 was undoubtedly Zak Sparks from Nigel Bens XI, who netted an impressive hat-trick, taking his team to victory.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw leaders Beercelona triumph over Scottswood 9-3 while second place Skinners FC secured a good 4-2 win against Rapid Viagra. Holcombe Goons dominated the pitch with a resounding 9-1 victory over Snus Warriors while Gayson Mount and Unathletico Madrid fought to a 3-3 draw. The star of Division 2 was Jimmy Reeves from Holcombe Goons, who scored a remarkable 6 goals, leading his team to an emphatic win.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Barely Athletic overcame Maroon 5 with a score of 5-3. Get Your Scally Out FC displayed their skills with a convincing 5-1 win over Nutty Sauce FC. Tekkerslovakia FC were too strong for HAVENT GOT A KALOU FC, winning 4-2 and Workrate FC narrowly defeated Cokane United 4-3 in another top of the table clash at the league this week. Division 3's top scorer was Sam Lovey from Get Your Scally Out FC, who scored an incredible 4 goals, powering his team to victory.
After such an intense week, the anticipation for the next round of matches is already building. We are eagerly waiting to see if the top scorers can maintain their form and lead their teams to glory.
