The Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League is heading into the final stretch with only two weeks left of the season. Week 12, which took place last night, was marked by intense matches and outstanding performances across all the divisions.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Borstal Bums triumphed with a 6-3 win over Bligh A Side, largely thanks to the efforts of Noah Stevens, who scored three goals marking him as the top scorer in this division for this week. The match between Get Your Scally Out FC and Holcombe Goons ended in a narrow win for the latter, with a final score of 4-3. Unathletico Madrid also had a close match, finishing 4-3 against Pain In Diaz FC. Meanwhile, Lordswood LYFC and 365 FC had an adrenaline-filled face-off, with 365 FC edging out their opponents with a 6-5 victory.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw a thrilling draw between Too Much Radio Not Enough Head and FC Bottlejobs, with both teams scoring four goals each. Keane Cheeseman of Lallanas In Pyjamas stole the show by netting an incredible 17 goals in their overwhelming 36-3 victory over Masterbates United, making him the top scorer for Division 2 this week.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Workrate FC dominated Barely Athletic with an 11-2 win, while Gayson Mount emerged victorious with a 10-4 win over Athletic Dildao, largely due to Ben Pilcher's outstanding four goals, earning him the top scorer spot for Division 3.
With only two weeks left, competitors are hustling to secure their standings for the next season. The coming weeks promise high stakes, intense competition, and some fantastic football.
