The Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League concluded its exciting 14-week season last night with thrilling matches across all divisions. Spectators were treated to a flurry of goals, fierce competition, and standout performances that brought the season to a climactic end.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the Borstal Tigers roared their way to the top, accumulating a total of 21 points with 10 wins. In a fiercely contested match, they cemented their position at the top with a 4-1 win over Holcombe Goons. An exceptional performance from Mo-Leicester City and Unathletico Madrid also added to the division's drama, with Unathletico Madrid clinching a narrow 4-3 victory. The division's top-scoring honours went to Aksels Grintals of BangBros FC, who netted an impressive two goals.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, Twin City FC reigned supreme, collecting 22 points and securing 11 wins. Their prowess was on full display as they bested Club Tropicana Drinks FC 6-2. Cokane United also put in an outstanding performance, demolishing Skinners FC 9-0, with Harvey Claydon netting five goals to take home the division's top scorer accolade.
DIVISION THREE
Meanwhile, in Division 3, Workrate FC displayed their dominance, amassing an impressive 26 points with 12 victories. Their skill was evident in their resounding 12-0 win over Barely Athletic. Elsewhere, Lads On Toure overpowered Puyol Pants Down 10-1, with Reece scoring a hat-trick, making him the top scorer in Division 3.
With the season now over, the league will look to build on the successful campaign and its growing popularity. Congratulations to Borstal Tigers, Twin City FC, and Workrate FC for their incredible performances and well-deserved victories!
