In a thrilling conclusion to the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League, the final fixtures of the season saw teams battle it out in a display of skill, strategy, and sportsmanship. The 14th week of matches brought cheer, despair, and most importantly, winners in each division.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Unathletico Madrid fell to Bligh A Side with a sobering 3-8 defeat, while Lallanas In Pyjamas triumphed over Borstal Bums in a tight match, scoring 9-7. This victory marked Lallanas In Pyjamas as the champions of Division 1, finishing the season on a high note with a total of 22 points and an impressive 11 wins. Josh Carter of Lallanas In Pyjamas graced the top scorer's list in Division 1, netting an impressive total of 5 goals.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw a fierce competition, with Pain In Diaz FC besting Lads On Toure 8-4 and Borstal Tigers mauling Too Much Radio Not Enough Head 7-1. Borstal Tigers emerged victorious in Division 2, boasting 22 points and 11 wins. The Tigers' Andy Butt impressed all, scoring a total of 4 goals to become the top scorer of Division 2.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Twin City FC blew away Expected To Loose 12-5, Athletic Dildao overcame FC Bottlejobs 7-5, and Gayson Mount dominated Workrate FC 8-1. Gayson Mount secured their division championship with 21 points and 10 wins. Josh Davies of Gayson Mount was the top scorer of Division 3, scoring a total of 2 goals.
Ending on such a high note, the Chatham Monday 5-a-side Football League has yet again proven its mettle, showcasing the best of grassroots football and nurturing local talent. The league congratulates the winners and looks forward to another season of thrilling football action.
