Chatham Monday 5 a side news | WEEK 9

In the exciting world of local football, week 9 of the Chatham Monday 5-a-side league did not disappoint. Teams across three divisions displayed thrilling performances, with plenty of goals and tough competition.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the match between Borstal Tigers and BangBros FC proved to be a nail-biting contest with the Tigers ultimately emerging victorious, 7-5. However, the match between Holcombe Goons and Unathletico Madrid ended in a deadlock, with both teams scoring four goals each. The standout player of the division, Harry Osborne from Holcombe Goons, put on a show with a total of three goals, making him the top scorer of Division 1 for the week.

DIVISION TWO
Meanwhile, in Division 2, the matches were equally intense. Gayson Mount edged out Club Tropicana Drinks FC with a scoreline of 4-3. However, it was the match between Get Your Scally Out FC and Cokane United that caught everyone's attention, where Cokane United thrashed their opposition with a massive 7-1 victory. Harvey Claydon, from Cokane United, stole the spotlight as he netted three goals, being crowned as the top scorer for Division 2.

DIVISION THREE
Finally, in Division 3, FC Bottlejobs were trounced 8-2 by Barely Athletic while Lads on Toure put on a spectacular show, winning 11-3 against Expected to Loose. Another remarkable victory was secured by Workrate FC who won 8-0 against Puyol Pants Down. However, the star of the division was undoubtedly Reece from Lads on Toure, who scored an impressive 5 goals, taking his place as the top scorer in Division 3 for the week.

As the Chatham 5-a-side league continues to unfold, we eagerly anticipate the performances in the coming weeks. It remains to be seen if the top scorers can maintain their form and lead their respective teams to glory.
