Tight at the top of both divisions at Chatham 5 a side

Match reports are back now I've returned from holiday. Good to see 11 teams in attendance at Chatham Monday 5 a side, unfortunately we have been unable to reach AFC Samba so they will be removed from the league today. We do have a new team who are ready to start when the new season gets underway.

The top of the Premier League is really tight with two teams level on 11 points with two matches left to play. Retired FC are top on goal difference and they improved that last night with a 10-0 victory against Weinsteins Wanderers, goals from Nat 5, Kai 2, Callum, Harry and Keiran. Murder On Zidanes Floor are second after they picked up a points match win with AFC Samba not attending. The other results saw Ash score 4 as Maradona Kebab beat Skinners 7-2. Other goals from Lee, Marc and Dave while Andrew Skinner scored both for Skinners FC.

The top two in Div 1 both secured victories, one more comfortable than the other. Top of the table Scottswood edged a great contest with Holcombe Goons to win 2-1 while AC Me Rollin managed a 5-0 win over Bayer Neverlosen. Scottswood goalscorers were Ricky Fernandez and Rob Kinzett with Joe replying for Goons. AC Me Rollin had Brad Beckett 2, Ben Carlile 2 and Jeevan Dio to thank for their strikes. Finally a great win for 6* Skills as they beat 66 Lions 3-0 with goals from captain Dan Kaszynski, Tori Campbell and Kylie Manktelow.

Thank you to Ash for running the night and refs Nicola and Kelly plus all our teams. See you all next week for match day 9. If you are looking to get involved for the new season please contact me on 07969 731086 or register a team at the link below, thanks Rich
