Wow what a night at Chatham 5 a side!

Thank you to all our teams again at our Chatham Monday 5 a side league down at Holcombe Grammar School. All 16 teams were in attendance as usual with the title races in both the Premier League and Div 1 going to the wire next week. Sadly we also had a serious injury when a player landed on and broke his arm when trying to stop a ball going out of play, we all of course wish him a speedy recovery and hope he's back playing soon.

Onto the football and the Premier League title race is going to the last game of the season. AC Me Rollin have lead the way all season but they go face to face with Cats On Tour in the final game, Cats just 2 points behind. Both teams won last night, Cats beating Skinners 4-2 while AC defeated Skindogs 5-2. That gives AC a +4 goal difference advantage too however Cats have scored 2 more goals so a 2 goal win for Cats over AC next week will bring home the title. Good luck to both teams. In other results The General jumped out of the relegation zone with a 8-4 win over relegated Workrate while Mitch Ball recorded another 5 goals to help Pheasant Pluckers up to third with a 13-6 win over Mac's.

The drama continues in Div 1 as all 4 matches ended in either a draw or a one goal margin win. Crossley and Special Olympiakos faced each other in a top of the table clash and handed the advantage back to Scottswood with the game ending 2-2. Scottsword didn't have it easy though but are now top of the table on goal difference as they won 4-3 against The Sniffers. Only one point separate's the top 3 now with Crossley playing Scottswood next week. 4th place Gylfi Pleasures face Olympiakos next week so have a massive say in where the title goes although they went down 4-3 last night to Woodbleak. Finally well done to Dirt Washers who picked up their first win of the season with a 5-4 victory over Get Your Scally Out FC.

Thank you to Ash for coping with a ref down last night and to our other two refs Noel and Nicola. Good luck to all teams next week. The new season starts on the 23rd May. Any new teams please get registered as soon as possible to avoid the waiting list as we expand the league once again. Thanks Rich 07969 731086
