Chatham Thursday 5 a side news | WEEK 1

The highly anticipated Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football league began its new season yesterday with an array of thrilling matches. With every goal scored and every save made, the palpable energy on the pitch signified the return of the heart-stopping football action that players and spectators alike have been eagerly waiting for.


DIVISION ONE
Division 1 kicked off with an electrifying match between Perrys Pastries and Lads On Toure. The latter team dominated the game, winning 8-3, thanks to a stunning performance by top scorer Reece, who netted an impressive six goals.


In the next match for Division 1, Rochester FC outclassed Radar Raiders with an emphatic 15-3 victory, demonstrating their early intent to lay claim to the title this season.


DIVISION TWO
The excitement transcended to Division 2 where Warren Wood Wanderers clashed with Valhalla FC. Valhalla FC triumphed with a 7-4 victory, marking an assertive start to their campaign.


Deeney FC also made their mark in the Division 2 opener by defeating Perrys 7-3, showcasing their strong offensive capabilities early in the season.


However, the highlight of Division 2 was Ollie Smyth from Bonnies Men In Blue who put on a noteworthy performance by scoring three goals, helping his team secure a 5-3 win over FC Holcombe.


As the Chatham Thursday season has just begun, the teams from both divisions have set an exhilarating pace, setting the stage for a competitive and exciting season ahead. Fans can look forward to thrilling matches and outstanding individual performances as the season progresses.
