The Chatham Thursday 5-a-side football league kicked off its new season last night, with some thrilling matches in both Division 1 and Division 2.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Deeney Fc made an impressive start to the season, defeating Bonnies Men In Blue with a comfortable 2-0 win. The Great Commission and Rochester Fc delivered an absolute thriller, with Rochester edging out a 4-3 victory. The highlight of the division, however, was an exciting match between Medway 90 and Inter Yer Nan, where the latter triumphed with a 4-2 victory. The star player in Division 1 was undeniably Joe from Rochester Fc, who emerged as the top scorer with a total of 2 goals.

DIVISION TWO
Division 2 also saw some high-octane matches. Perrys Pastries faced a challenging game against Perrys, which ended with a dominant 10-3 win for Perrys. Radar Raiders displayed an impressive performance against Queens Park Strangers, with an 8-3 triumph. However, the spotlight was stolen by Pain In Diaz FC, who registered a resounding 7-1 victory over Warren Wood Wanderers. David Hall from Perrys emerged as the top scorer in Division 2, with a staggering 5 goals.

The first week of the Chatham Thursday league has set the stage for an exciting season. With multiple teams showcasing their prowess and individual players shining on the field, football enthusiasts can look forward to a thrilling season.
