In the world of local sports, Chatham Thursday's 5-a-side football league kicked off its thrilling new season last night with some spectacularly high-scoring games in its Divisions 1 and 2.
DIVISION ONE
Over in Division 1, Inter Yer Nan made an impressive debut, crushing Bonnies Men In Blue with an astounding 8 - 2 victory. The star player of the match was undoubtedly Ashley Vann, who single-handedly scored an incredible total of 5 goals for Inter Yer Nan, securing his place as the top scorer for the division in this first week of play. Other matches in Division 1 were also fiercely fought, with Rochester Fc clinching a narrow 3 - 2 victory over Bendher Rovers Fc, and Medway 90 beating Shades of Skill 4 - 2.
DIVISION TWO
