Chatham Thursday 5 a side news | WEEK 1

The Chatham Thursday Football League started their season strongly last night, with teams in both Division 1 and 2 bringing their A-game. The first week of the highly anticipated league was marked by thrilling performances and high-scoring matches that set the stage for what's to come.

DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Deeney Fc took the win against Lads On Toure with an impressive 7-5 scoreline. Star player Jay stood out from the rest, netting a total of 3 goals single-handedly, marking him as the top scorer for Division 1. Elsewhere in the division, Rochester Fc left a strong impression, defeating Radar Raiders 5-2, while Medway 90 clinched a narrow victory against FC Holcombe, with a final score of 3-2.

DIVISION TWO
Division 2 was no less thrilling. Warren Wood Wanderers scored a decisive victory over Valhalla Fc, winning 7-2. Ashley, representing Warren Wood Wanderers, was in scintillating form, becoming the top scorer with a total of 4 goals. Perrys edged out Perrys Pastries in a close match with a score of 4-3. Not to be outdone, Bonnies Men In Blue secured a win against Inter Yer Nan, with the final score standing at 5-3.

The opening week of the Chatham Thursday Football League has set a competitive tone for the rest of the season.
