In a thrilling series of matches last night, the Chatham Thursday Football League ended its season with some stunning results. Week 10 was charged with an electrifying atmosphere as the teams put forth their best on the field.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the Radar Raiders showcased impressive skills with a 5-3 win over Holcombe Legends. The Raiders’ triumph was largely due to Martinho O’s exceptional performance, who topped the charts as the division's highest scorer with three goals. Notably, Medway 90 also clinched a 5-3 victory against Perrys Pastries, showing their prowess in the field. Inter Yer Nan similarly marked a decisive 5-0 win against Valhalla FC.
But the highlight of Division 1 was the spectacular performance of Medway 90, who emerged as the division winners. They secured a total of 18 points with nine wins, displaying an incredible show of teamwork throughout the season.
DIVISION TWO
Meanwhile, in Division 2, the games were equally gripping. Bonnies Men In Blue had a 2-2 draw against Rochester FC. Perrys saw a tough defeat with a 1-4 result against Lads On Toure. In a riveting match, Deeney FC triumphed over Warren Wood Wanderers with a score of 9-6.
The top scorer of Division 2 was Ollie Smyth from Bonnies Men In Blue, who scored two crucial goals for his team. However, the championship title in Division 2 was clinched by Lads On Toure, who accumulated a total of 15 points with seven wins.
As the final whistle blew on the Chatham Thursday Football League, the teams celebrated their victories and learned from their defeats. With this season's conclusion, fans eagerly await the start of the new season, ready to cheer on their favourite teams once more.
