In a thrilling end to the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side football league, the final week of the season brought intense matches and standout performances in both Division 1 and Division 2.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the team that stole the show was Medway 90. The men in red and black triumphed over Perrys Pastries with an astounding score of 18-1, illustrating their dominance this season. This victory helped them secure the top spot in the division, ending the season with a total of 17 points and 8 wins.
Medway 90's striker, Dave, proved to be instrumental in their success, netting an impressive total of 7 goals in the final match and securing his position as the top scorer in Division 1.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, FC Holcombe showed why they are the champions of the division in the final week. They ended the season with an impressive 18 points and 9 wins, demonstrating their consistency and strength throughout the season.
Similar to Division 1, Division 2 also witnessed an extraordinary performance by an individual player. Ollie Smyth of Bonnies Men in Blue was the star player, scoring 7 goals in their final match, making him the highest scorer of the division.
The Chatham Thursday league had its fair share of adrenaline, goals, and celebrations. Both Division 1 and Division 2 witnessed exciting matches that kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the very end. The teams can now take a well-deserved break before they strategize and prepare to do it all over again next season. Congratulations to the winners and top scorers of the league!
