In a thrilling second week of the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football league, teams from across divisions 1 and 2 battled it out in a series of nail-biting contests, resulting in a night of high-scoring football.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Deeney FC and FC Holcombe delivered an enthralling performance, with both teams battling to a 4-4 draw. While Lads On Toure put up a valiant effort, they were unable to surpass the formidable Rochester FC, who recorded an impressive 12-5 victory. However, the talk of the town is the match between Radar Raiders and Medway 90, which saw the latter dominating with a 12-2 scoreline. The star of the evening was Medway 90's Bob, who put on an outstanding display of skill and precision, netting 8 goals and earning the top scorer title in Division 1.
DIVISION TWO
In Division 2, Bonnies Men In Blue took home a convincing 6-2 win against Perrys Pastries, with Ollie Smyth netting an impressive 6 goals, making him the top scorer for this division. Meanwhile, in a tightly contested match, Perrys managed to edge out Warren Wood Wanderers 3-2, reflecting the competitive spirit of this season's league.
As the Chatham Thursday League progresses, the passion and intensity on the field only seem to be escalating. Passionate play and a plethora of goals have set the tone for the season. With the top scorers setting high standards, the heat is on for the other teams to up their game. The question remains, can anyone catch high-flyers Medway 90 in Division 1 and Bonnies Men In Blue in Division 2? Only time will tell.
