The thrilling action in the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football league continued last night with some decisive victories and spectacular individual performances in week 6 of the season.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the game of the night was undoubtedly the clash between Lads On Toure and Radar Raiders. Despite a spirited performance, Lads On Toure fell to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Radar Raiders, who showcased their attacking prowess. In the other games, Perrys Pastries were overpowered by Medway 90, who triumphed 12-1 in a one-sided encounter. Meanwhile, Rochester FC clinched a convincing 5-2 victory over Inter Yer Nan.
A stellar performance from Luke, a striker for Medway 90, saw him bag six goals to become the top scorer in Division 1. His outstanding display of skill and precision was a key factor in Medway 90's victory.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, there was no shortage of action either. Bonnies Men In Blue delivered a football masterclass, trouncing Valhalla FC 11-3. FC Holcombe also put up an impressive show, defeating Perrys 7-2. Meanwhile, Deeney FC proved to be too strong for Warren Wood Wanderers, securing a 7-1 win.
The star of Division 2 was Ollie Smyth of Bonnies Men In Blue. Smyth was on fire, netting five goals and claiming the top scorer's spot for the division.
With these results, the tension is mounting as the Chatham Thursday league enters its seventh week. The drama and excitement promise to continue as the teams vie for supremacy in their respective divisions. Stay tuned for more action-packed football in the coming weeks.
