In the latest round of the Chatham Thursday 5-a-side Football league, the week nine fixtures produced an evening of thrilling action and high-scoring games.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, Inter Yer Nan continued their winning streak, defeating Lads On Toure with a scoreline of 7-4. The star of the night was unquestionably Ashley Vann. Vann adeptly found the back of the net five times, earning him the title of top scorer in Division 1. Vann's exceptional performance significantly contributed to pushing Inter Yer Nan to the top of the table.
Rochester FC, however, had a disappointing night, falling 2-1 to Medway 90 in a closely contested match. The evening ended on a high note for Radar Raiders, who outperformed Perrys Pastries with a 5-3 victory.
DIVISION TWO
Moving to Division 2, it was all about Ollie Smyth. The striker scored an incredible 10 goals for Bonnies Men In Blue, powering his team to a 17-4 win against Warren Wood Wanderers. Smyth's performance placed him solidly as the top scorer in Division 2.
Perrys also had an impressive showing, defeating Valhalla FC 7-1. In another high-scoring match, Deeney FC battled their way to victory, edging past FC Holcombe 7-5.
The Chatham Thursday league provided an exciting spectacle for local football fans, who eagerly anticipate the next round of fixtures. As we move toward the end of the season, all eyes will be on the top scorers, Vann and Smyth, to see if they can maintain their prolific scoring form.
