A new season of the Horncastle Monday 6-a-side league kicked off this week, with some wonderful contests to start the campaign off. 

Reigning champions Ginger Gaffer picked up right where they left off to take top spot after opening day, with a 4-2 win over Pathetico Seniors. 

Francs FC got off to a winning start, edging past Perak 1-0, while OneTchouameni staved off the challenge of Hardly Athletic to grab a 2-1 win. 

Lallanas in Pyjamas also got off to a winning start, beating Isur Motherwell 3-1.
