End of season awards are announced!

Although it seems like an age since we last started a new season at Kimberley leisure centre, we are finally there after many delays from our great friend COVID-19.

let's get into it and see who has won what!...

LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!

Lads on Toure are crowned champions! The margins were narrow with just 2 points and a worse goal difference than the runners up, Lads on Toure really decided to take it to the wire. They were the favourites to be crowned champions for quite some time during the season and were well known as one of the toughest teams to get a result from, but sometimes that pressure can be unhelpful. They really didn't make life easy for themselves after losing their last 2 games of the season, luckily for them they had a small point cushion to soak it up. Hopefully they can continue their success  and claim consecutive league titles for next season!

LEAGUE RUNNERS UP!

Wolverham-tim are crowned league runners up! As mentioned above, the margins between champions and league runners up were narrow, so this gave these guys the perfect taste of the title for a potential push next season. The worst thing for them is that a win in their last game of the season would've given them the title on goal difference, but they just couldn't get the edge over their opponents on the day to get their hands on that trophy!

PLAYER OF THE SEASON!

We have another 3 way tie to decide to our player of the season award, which will be decided with a crossbar challenge. feel free to come along and watch the battle between Dave Fretwell & Andy Vickerton from JMT and Ben Alexander from Get out me box.

GOLDEN BOOT AWARD!

Ben Alexander - Get out me box - Ben has stolen the award with just 1 goal in it and its fully deserved from a very consistent season of goal scoring in almost every match! Ben could complete the personal double if he can win the crossbar challenge on Wednesday night! What a season this could be.
