The new season of football got off to a great start with some thrilling games in the Kimberley 6-a-side Wednesday league this week. 

Last season's winners Borussia Teeth got off to an easy start as they were handed a 5-0 win in the points match due to one vacant spot in the league. They will be keen on starting the official title defence on the pitch next week.

Krul Intentions and Kroos Controls reignited their rivalry from last season, but this time the former managed to get the 3-2 win in a tight battle. Stephen Hawkin's Football Boots also edged out their opponents JMT 3-2 in their bid to avoid the bottom two this time around, after narrowly failing to do so last season. 

Previous runners-up Get Out Me Box also started strong with a 3-1 win over Colin's 6. They will be driven to go one better and clinch the title this time.
