In the thrilling opening week of the Guernsey Monday 6-a-side Football League, spectators were treated to an array of high-octane matches across the Premier League and Division 1.

Kicking off the season in the Premier League, Greenhouse FC showed they meant business with a convincing 3-0 victory over RH Utd. Held Capdevila also managed to secure a close 2-1 win against G A W S F C in a tense encounter. However, it was Too Many Flutes FC who set the bar high this week, cruising to a 4-0 win against Class On Grass FC. Their stunning performance puts them at the top of the Premier League table, with their forwards setting the scoring charts on fire.

Over in Division 1, Feeble United dominated their match against The Corner Shop with a staggering 10-0 victory. Clarity Ltd also had a solid start to their campaign, edging past Coochie Cavaliers 3-0. Guernsey New Saints also made their mark with an impressive 6-0 win over 2 Inch Studs. The match between NottingYourMums Forest and Six Offenders ended in a nail-biting 2-2 draw, adding to the excitement of the opening week.

A notable performance of the week was from the most valued player, Rupert Wilson, of Knicker Sniffers. His outstanding play and composure on the field truly set him apart.

As the season has just started, it's all to play for in the coming weeks. The teams are raring to go, and if this opening week is anything to go by, we are in for a thrilling season of football.
