Swinn cause upset in Kingsdown six a side

In the final game night of the Leisure Leagues Swindon Monday six a side before the Christmas break an upset may have just reignited the league as Tidy Box FC, the runner away leaders were held by Swinn. The dropped points opens the door for the chasing pack to catch them in the second half of the season.

Going into the night Tidy Box had beaten everyone before them on their way to establishing a dominant position at the top of the table. However, they met their match on Monday as Swinn matches them all over the park and thoroughly deserved their 1-1 draw. The result gives them a chance of catching Ooo Thiago Silva and claiming a place in the prize draw.

In the other early kick off. One of the recent additions to the league Oxford United showed that despite joining late they are not here to simply make up the numbers. They comfortably beat Bumfica 3-1. Next up they have their arch rivals Swinn knowing that a victory will see them leapfrog Swinn to go into third place in the league. For Bumfica this game meant they continued on their worrying slump which has seen them plummet down the league table.

In the final game Who Ate All Depays showed that when the season restarts at the end of January they will be more than capable of competing with the best after a narrow defeat to second place Ooo Thiago Silva. For large parts of the game they were more than a match for Jamie’s boys but Ooo Thiago Silva have some tenacious players that never give up. With Tidy Box dropping points it was imperative that they won to put the pressure on and they found a way to do this.

It will be interested to see what happens once the league gets underway in the new year. Will Tidy Box drop more points? If they do can anyone catch them?
