Bristol's Thursday 6-a-side league at Lockleaze Sports Centre yesterday evening was played out as 23 out of 24 teams took to the pitch for the first games of the season. The only team missing from the lineup was Give Us the Ball, who had confirmed earlier in the day that they would be absent, but will be back next week as normal.

The league, which features some of the best amateur football teams in the city, got underway with some thrilling matches that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. The action was fast-paced and intense, with teams battling it out to secure their first points of the season.
