Opening night of the new season doesn't disappoint!

The highly anticipated Melton Mowbray Thursday 6 a side Football League kicked off its new season with a thrilling first week of matches. The teams hit the ground running in what promises to be a very competitive season.

In the Prem, Unreal Madrid set the tone, defeating Calorie Dodgers with an impressive 6-0 victory. However, the biggest shock of the night came with the dominant performance by Fake Madrid trouncing Lord of The Ings with a staggering 13-1 win, in a game that could easily of been 5-5 at half time were it not for the heroics of Jamie in the Fake Madrid goal. Le Saux Solid Crew couldn't keep up the pace against Gadders FC, losing the match 10-2.

The star player of the Premier League division was without a doubt, Alfie from Fake Madrid, who netted an astonishing five goals, his first being a contender for goal of the season!  His performance has undoubtedly set him up as the one to watch this season.

Over in Division 1, competition was just as fierce. Blazing Squad made a strong start by beating Spare Parts 4-1. Newcomers Puyol Pants Down FC showcased their prowess with a 6-1 victory over Expected Toulouse. Meanwhile, Gopping Lizards had a successful start to the campaign, triumphing 4-0 over Midlife Mavericks.

The standout player in Division 1 was loan player Cam from Puyol Pants Down FC, who netted an impressive three goals in the opening week. His performance set the bar high for his competitors.

As the season has just begun, it's all to play for in the coming weeks. The fierce competition and exceptional performances in both divisions signal an exciting season ahead for the Melton Mowbray Thursday 6 a side Football League.
