Midsomer Norton's Tuesday night 5-a-side football league, featuring some of the best local talent, served up an exciting spectacle yesterday in its seventh week of the ongoing season under the Premier League division.
Premier League
The week was marked by high intensity and thrilling matches, but it was the clash between MALLARDS FC and Daves Disciples that stood as the highlight of the evening, with both teams demonstrating incredible resilience and skill, ending the game with a nail-biting 4-4 draw.
Heskeys Reserves and Red Post FC also put on a thrilling show, with Heskeys Reserves displaying their attacking prowess by netting 12 goals against Red Post FC's 6. Exeter Gently couldn't handle the attacking onslaught of Supply Line FC, succumbing to a 14-4 defeat. Meanwhile, the West Country Wanderers showed their class by winning their match against Disastrous FC with a convincing 7-2 victory.
Leading the pack in the scoring department was Jordan Snook from Daves Disciples, with a spectacular haul of three goals, clearly demonstrating his remarkable talent and poise in front of the net. His exceptional performance has not only propelled his team but also earned him the title of the most valued player of the week.
Jordan's prowess on the pitch and his commendable sportsmanship embody the spirit of the Midsomer Norton Tuesday league. His efforts and those of his teammates promise further excitement and competition in the weeks to come.
