Mildenhall Wednesday 6 a side new season kicks off!

MILDENHALL WEDNESDAY 6 A SIDE SEASON KICKS OFF IN WET AND WINDY CONDITIONS!

The first week of the much-anticipated Mildenhall Wednesday 6-A-Side Football season kicked off with some thrilling games in tricky conditions. The Premier League and Division 1 still witnessed some impressive performances and extraordinary goals despite the weather, setting the tone for the season ahead.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, The Playground FC faced a challenging match against Casuals, with the latter securing a notable 4-2 victory. Despite their loss, The Playground FC put in a solid performance against the reigning champions. Meanwhile, Galacticos FC outwitted newly promoted Mclovin FC in a closely contested game, ending with a 2-1 scoreline in favour of the Galacticos.

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 saw some high scoring games. YMCA endured a 5-1 defeat against new team AFC Albufeira. Unperturbed by the opposition's efforts, AFC Albufeira's Daniel Ingham scored 2 impressive goals in the victory, a good start for the new boys. Elsewhere, Ipswich Downies displayed a dominant performance against Lightning FC, with a resounding 5-1 victory, Sam Bacon on target twice in this one.

As the season has just started, we have so far been treated to some high-quality football in both divisions. With top players already displaying excellent form, the competition is shaping up to be a fiercely contested one, leaving us eagerly awaiting the next round of fixtures.

A big thank you to Brian and our referee's and players for braving the conditions on a wet evening in Suffolk.
