Mildenhall Wednesday 6 a side news 2025-02-26

Mildenhall players were treated to an exhilarating opening round of the new Wednesday 6-a-side season last night. The league kicked off with the teams in the Premier League and Division 1 showing their mettle in high-octane matches that were both thrilling and entertaining.

Premier League

Inspire clashed with Delph And Safety V2 in a nail-biting encounter that ended with a 5-2 victory for Delph And Safety V2. Despite Inspire's best efforts, they were unable to curtail the offensive firepower of Delph And Safety V2 which led to a dominant performance from the latter.

Division 1

The evening witnessed a sublime display of skill and tactics. Planes N Babes took on Back To The FUTURE, defeating them 4-1 in a contest that saw Planes N Babes exhibiting some sterling teamwork and on-field strategy.

In another pulsating fixture, Cummings Cider FC squared off against Queens Park Strangers. However, the latter proved to be too strong, trouncing Cummings Cider FC 13-4 in a high-scoring match.

The last match of the evening saw Jerk Mates edge past Boys From BSE 6-5 in a closely contested battle that kept spectators on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.

As the season has just started, teams are still finding their footing and the true contenders are yet to surface. However, the top scorers from each division have already started to make their mark. In the Premier League, Delph and Safety V2 showed why they are a force to be reckoned with, while in Division 1, Queens Park Strangers displayed a goal-scoring prowess that every team in the league should be wary of.
