Weekly Update - 24th September 2018 (Game 1/14)

Straight into the new season tonight for our teams, and we'd like to give a shout out to all of our new teams joining the league! We have now added Division 3 to the mix so yet another trophy up for grabs!

Before I get into the crux of things, I'd like to just thank each and every team for their assistance and support tonight in spite of the train issues that affected many (both staff and teams) - you were all superb!

FortNiteFatBoys started the new season with a thrilling 5-0 win over their opponents Inter Ye Nan, whilst they are joined at the top by Real Sosobad after a Points Match - however they battled hard in a friendly game to keep their game high!

50 Shades beat TMNS 2-1 in yet another tight contest, whilst reigning champions Ivybuild FC were held to a 1-1 draw with Chicken Odemwingies - always a cracking encounter between these teams.

Division 1:

Newly promoted Norfolk and Chance kept their momentum going with a 3-0 win at Expected Toulouse, however Football Friends top the table with a 5-0 walkover against Sigurdssons who were unfortunate victims of the train issues and stranded in London.

Balls Deep got over their loss last week and took all the points in their game at Unathletico Madrid beating them 2-1, whilst a great game between Phil Babbs Sack and Bayern Never Losing offered only two goals but two fantastic goals as the teams shared the points with a 1-1 draw.

Division 2:

Lallanas took first blood at the top of the table after beating Game of Throwins 5-2 in their opener, followed closely by Springfield Green - who kept a clean sheet in their 2-0 win at AFC Comms.

Four of our new teams fought each other in their opening games, with ADP beating Waltham 2-1 and Netsix and Chill beating CM Generals 1-0 - a good start by all 4 teams with some close games to play for, looking forward to seeing how these teams get on!

Division 3:

Eight new teams. Eight unknowns.. This shall be an interesting division if this weeks results are anything to go by!

Puyol Your Pants Down set the bar high after inflicting a heavy defeat on Victor Moses Lawn 9-0! Chelmsford Athletic kept a clean sheet in their opener after a great defensive display in their 2-0 win against Willian Dollar Baby.

Six Offenders and Royal Tiger FC were involved in a seven goal thrill, the former coming off the winners in a closely fought 4-3 win - both teams have shown they are no strangers to scoring goals.

Finally, Inter MyVan and Wallop Wanderers held tight as neither time managed to break the deadlock. A point each is what they went home with, both seeking their first win next week.
