Monday 16th October - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week overall.  We did have cancellations from a couple of teams, but Lads Army, City Boys and Unreal Madrid return to action on Monday 23rd October.

The Premier League saw Newdigate United outshine the Mass Debaters with an impressive 6-1 victory. United's formidable attack and solid defence were evident as they dominated the field, taking them one step closer to securing their spot at the top of the league table. Meanwhile, Haven’t Got A Kalou topped the Scofield Boys 6-1, in what can only be described as a clinical performance. With this week's victory, Haven’t Got A Kalou have shown they are a force to be reckoned with.

A similar narrative unfolded in Division 1, with Not The Sunny gloating from an astounding 11-1 victory over Dodwells 1581. Not The Sunny's triumph, marked by their relentless offensive play, has sent waves across the division and has set a high bar for the coming weeks.

While all teams showcased their prowess, some players stood out with their individual performances. In the Premier League, the top scorer was Newdigate United's striker, who netted a hat trick, catapulting his team to a comprehensive victory. In Division 1, Not The Sunny's midfielder stood out, scoring four goals and aiding his team's commanding victory.

This week's results have been a testament to the intense competition in both divisions. As the season continues to unfold, we eagerly await more thrilling matches, incredible goals, and commendable sportsmanship.
