Monday 18th September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night for their matches across both divisions.

In the Premier League, we were treated to a thriller of a match between Newdigate United and Scofield Boys, with the game ending in a nail-biting 2-2 draw. The tension was palpable as neither team could secure the decisive goal to claim victory.

Meanwhile, Only Put Matip In had much to cheer about as they secured a clean 2-0 victory over Haven’t Got A Kalou, putting them in a strong position as the season progresses, shocking the champions. Elsewhere, Mass Debaters showed their competitive edge by overpowering Lads Army with a decisive 4-1 victory, underscoring their dominance in the league.

Over in Division 1, City Boys kicked off the night with a resolute 2-0 triumph over Unreal Madrid. Not The Sunny outclassed Dad Bod Athletic with a 5-1 victory, leaving no doubt about their supremacy on the playing field. In a closely contested match, Murder On Zidane’s Floor clinched a narrow 3-2 victory over Dodwells 1581, elevating the stakes for the next week's matches.
