Monday 19th Feburary - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good start to the new season in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night for the opening night of the campaign.

Badboy FC started on a high note in the Premier League, defeating Wootton Street Wanderers 5-2. The Manor FC also edged out Haven’t Got A Kalou 3-2 in a tight contest.

However, the highlight of the Premier League's first week was undoubtedly Marston Lane FC's impressive 11-0 victory over Only Fools N Scorers, demonstrating some real prowess on the field. Newdigate United and Mass Debaters offered a tense face-off which ended in a 0-0 draw, leaving both teams with points to prove in the coming weeks.

In Division 1, there were stellar performances from ClassOnGrass who overpowered Unifabs Fc 3-1, and Goal Goal Power Rangers, who dominated Paqueta Kenny with a 6-1 victory. Shaktar Senseless and MenBehavingChadli also emerged victorious against Dad Bod Athletic and INNAGE PARK FC respectively.

The top scorers from the Premier League were from Marston Lane FC, who put an impressive 11 goals past their opponents, while in Division 1, the Goal Goal Power Rangers led the pack with their 6-1 triumph.
