Monday 22nd November - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was another superb evening's action in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches and some excellent football on display.

Crouch Potato have been struggling with results since joining the league and have as a result requested to withdraw from the league.  We have a team ready to join so have swapped them immediately and are delighted to confirm new team DTB FC will join the league on Monday 29th November!

The top two met this week and although Warriors were comfortably clear at the top, Elkins Boys gave them a fantastic game which ended 1-1, the second game in a row Warriors have shared the spoils after winning all but one all season up to then.

Bog Standard Liege were in rampant form against the now withdrawn Crouch Potato, having thrashed them 13-0, moving them joint on points with second placed Elkins Boys as they, and Mass Debaters who were 3-0 victors over Konig UK all sit on 29 points and battle it out for the Runners-Up spot.

Cat and Genny were made to work hard for the win by a youthful James Ate All Depays, as they ran out eventual 1-0 winners in a tightly contested game.  

Other action saw TTAMMI run out 4-2 winners in an entertaining game against Dad Bod Athletic, moving them up to 9th place in the table.  Finally TTT's end of season resurgence in form continued with a 2-0 win over FC Benidorm, that means a second win and clean sheet on the spin for the 8th placed team who will be looking to next season at this point.
