Monday 26th June - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up
In an exciting night of football, the Nuneaton Monday 6-a-side football league saw some thrilling matches in both the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, Agger Diouf Diouf Diouf secured an impressive 4-1 victory against Dad Bod Athletic, with the latter struggling to find their rhythm. Unreal Madrid, on the other hand, had a tough time against Haven't Got A Kalou, losing 1-3 in a closely-contested match. In the final game of the division, Mass Debaters put on a clinical display, thrashing Lads Army 5-0.
In Division 1, Avon Boyz and Dodwells 1581 played out a tense 1-1 draw, while Mick Huffers Seven put on a dominant display, winning 5-1 against City Boys. Not The Sunny and Murder On Zidane’s Floor couldn't be separated, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The league continues to attract a high level of competition and the matches continue to be closely contested. Fans are eagerly anticipating the next round of games, as the teams battle it out for the top spot in their respective divisions.
