Monday 30th January - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night.

Unfortunately an otherwise good evening was marred by the conduct of Combo FC in Division, who, despite previous warnings regarding their dissent towards match officials, chose to abuse the referee at the end of their fixture.  As a result of this they have now been removed from the league as we will not tolerate foul and abusive conduct towards the match officials.

On a positive note, new team Hearty FC join the league as a replacement for the above, and we wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Monday 6th February as they line up against Royal Dyche.

Premier Division leaders Mass Debaters recorded their seventh win a row as they close in on the title at rapid pace, beating Murder on Zidane's Floor by 4 goals to 1, whilst Warriors dropped to third after a surprise 5-1 defeat to Kalou who leapfrog them into second place.  TTT Return got their first win since joining as they were impressive 3-1 winners against Dad Bod.

Farcelona close in on the Division One title after a 5-1 win over Royal Dyche, whilst Konig are tucked into second place nicely after they were 3-0 winners against Mick Huffers Seven. Well done to Champagne Super Rovers who claimed a 2-1 win over the outgoing Konig UK.
