Monday 30th October - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football to kick off the new season in the Nuneaton Academy Monday 6 a side league this week. We saw all teams in attendance for their matches barring a late cancellation from Unreal Madrid, who have been removed from the league.  Dodwells also missed their game as they got their kick off time wrong, but return to action on Monday 6th November.

The Premier League games were action-packed. Wootton Street Wanderers and Badboy FC fought tooth and nail, ultimately settling for a 2-2 draw in a match that showcased stunning defensive strategies from both teams. On another front, Scofield Boys and Haven’t Got A Kalou put on an offensive masterclass with a total of 15 goals between them. Haven’t Got A Kalou emerged victorious with a 9-6 win, setting a high standard for the season. Not The Sunny displayed their prowess with a resounding 5-0 victory over MenBehavingChadli, indicating their intent for the season.

Moving onto Division 1, Newdigate United claimed a confident 3-1 win over Goal Goal Power Rangers, setting the bar high for the rest of the teams in the division. The competition intensified as Murder On Zidane’s Floor fell short against Lads Army in a 4-2 match. The Army's aggressive and strategic gameplay proved too difficult for Zidane's to manage.
