The Leisure Leagues Nuneaton Academy Monday 6-a-side League roared back to life with a thrilling opening round of matches, showcasing the relentless spirit and skill of the participating teams. The new season began with a bang, as two newly promoted teams in Division One locked horns, while the Premier Division witnessed gripping encounters between seasoned contenders.


In the Premier Division, Lads Army, the reigning champions of Division One, marched onto the field brimming with confidence as they faced the formidable Haven't Got a Kalou, last season's Premier Division champions. It was a clash of titans, but it was Haven't Got a Kalou who asserted their dominance, emerging victorious with a well-fought 3-1 win. Despite Lads Army's valiant efforts, the Kalou lads displayed their class and proved why they were crowned champions last season.


Meanwhile, in another Premier Division showdown, the Mass Debaters took on Dad Bod Athletic, the other newly promoted team, who had the daunting task of challenging the Premier Division runners-up. The Debaters showcased their unwavering determination, engaging in a spirited display of football. With their sharp finishing and relentless attacking, the Mass Debaters left no room for doubt, triumphing with an emphatic 7-0 victory.


The Premier Division clash between Unreal Madrid and Agger Diouf Diouf Diouf proved to be a tightly contested affair. Both teams exhibited exceptional defensive resilience and tactical prowess.
