The first week of the Nuneaton Sunday Football League saw some thrilling action as teams from Division 1 and Division 2 battled it out on the field, marking the start of a new season. The floodlights were on, the crowd was buzzing, and the players were eager to showcase their skills.
In Division 1, the match between EEFC and Norfolk N Chance was a nail-biter with EEFC eking out a 3-2 victory. Six Offenders managed to squeeze a 1-0 win against Borussia Teeth in a closely contested match. High Expectations FC lived up to their name, securing a 4-2 win against The Ladthsss. In a high scoring match, Leave My Arcelona came out on top against Inter Your Nan with a final score of 4-2.
Moving on to Division 2, Hartshills Heroes started the season on a high note, outclassing Ricky Spanish FC with a 7-2 victory. Expected Toulouse made a strong statement with a 2-0 win against Tuffnells FC. Ex Academy Ballers pulled off a tight 2-1 win over Rainbow Sparkles. 6 Steppers put on a commanding performance, defeating Salah-vation Army 6-0. In the highest scoring game of the night, Real Madrid trounced Tea And Busquets with a 9-2 scoreline.
The top scorers for the week were Leave My Arcelona in Division 1 and Real Madri in Division 2, showcasing their attacking prowess.
