Playing Rules Confirmed

Leisure Leagues would like to bring clarity to the playing rules at our new Nuneaton Academy Leagues. This is to stop any confusion and teams to accept and understand them.

Previously the leagues were operated by another league provider and in order to keep the transition of the leagues as smooth as possible we inherited the rules and kept them the same.

Please see below a list of the main rules:

1. The League is 6 aside and teams are allowed a max of 9 players on a match night.

2. Matches are 26 minutes straight through.

3. When the ball goes out for a throw in the ball MUST be restarted with a kick in only. (all kick ins are indirect)

4. ALL free kicks are direct.

5. Goalkeepers can only kick the ball under head height. (If keeper kicks the ball overhead height then its a free kick on the edge of the box)

6. Goalkeepers can throw the ball over head height.

7. Goalkeepers are NOT allowed out of the box. (a penalty will be awarded if they do)

8. Strictly NO slide tackles.

9. Back passes to the goalkeeper are allowed but they must touch 2 or more players.

10. Outfield players are allowed in the box.

11. When a goal is scored play is restarted by the goalkeeper.

12. FINALLY respect the referee and their word is final.
