Sunday 10th September - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league, with all teams attending throughout the night barring KBTS who will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return to action on Sunday 17th September.

After a 5 year stay in the league, Egg Fried Reus have now withdrawn after completing their notice period.  We hope to see these return in future and thank them for their commitment to the league during this period!

The above does mean we have ONE AVAILABLE PLACE in the league at present!  Sign up today to avoid disappointment and get playing straight away.

We welcomed two new teams to the action in this weeks matches which was pleasing, see how they fared in the below report amongst other matches.

In the Premier League division, Jack's Army showcased their dominance with a decisive 4-1 win over debutants Boca Seniors, although they may be new to the Sunday league, they had a spell in the Monday league, and will be expected to improve in future weeks as they progress. Borussia Teeth managed to edge out Dixy Pigeons with a 1-0 victory, while THE ALLIES FC and Lad On Toure fought to a 1-1 draw, demonstrating the fiercely competitive spirit of the league's top division.

Down in Division 1, Gylfis Young Boys outperformed Egg Fried Reus with a convincing 6-1 win on the latter teams final game with us. The other debutant team Pathetico Madrid were given a rude awakening as the aptly named FC Positivity looked just that this week, their attacking play was clinical and they showed no sympathy to the new boys who will be looking to regroup going into next week. Extra Special Ones grabbed a 3-1 win over Kroos Control FC, while The BackStreet Moyes managed to overcome Unipart United with an 8-3 scoreline in an end to end clash.

Division 2 saw Kevos Kids beaten by Globo Gym Purple Cobras 2-0, while Rainbow Sparkles dazzled with a 4-0 victory against Tuffnells FC. Sky Blue Army secured a 3-1 win against Hardly Athletic, and Tekkerslovakia trounced Beduff Rangers 6-0.

In Division 3, Murder On Zidanes Floor and Bank Fc battled it out to a goalless draw. Schindlers Assist fell to Do-little Fc 4-2, while Set 8 narrowly lost 1-0 to The Griddlers.

We thank all of our teams for their general commitment and reliability towards the league, and we wish all good luck heading into game week 10 of the campaign with Nuneaton's premier and exclusive small sided football league providers!
