Sunday 13th November - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across both divisions, the only exception being The Invincibles who gave 7 days notice due to holiday but return to action this weekend.

Premier Division leaders The Allies twelfth win in thirteen came in the form of a 1-0 victory over Borussia Teeth as they keep up their superb record despite sealing the title weeks ago.  The rest of the league looks close going into the final games as three teams fight it out for second place, Jacks Army lead the race so far following an impressive 3-0 win over Dixy Pigeons.  

Gylfi's Young Boys moved up to third as they claimed their fourth win on the bounce, a 2-0 victory over Wanyama's In Pyjamas their latest result as they look like they could be contenders next term.  Another useful side are Ballondora Boys who claimed their third win since joining the league as they could also be in the mix next season, they claimed an impressive 5-1 win over Who Ate All Depay's.

Division One is done and dusted as Misfits and Sky Blue Army go into the final week of the season knowing they are promoted, the leaders Misfits were 5-0 winners over Globo Gym Purple Cobras, whilst Sky Blue Army remain in second following a 3-1 win over Egg Fried Reus.  Extra Special Ones confirmed themselves a third place as they were 2-1 winners over Rainbow Sparkles.

We wish all teams good luck going into the final week of the current season with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!  The new season will kick off on Sunday 27th November.
