Sunday 14th April - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week with all 30 teams in attendance throughout the night across all five divisions as scheduled and some well competed matches played over the course of the evening.

In the Premier League, Jack's Army secured a crucial 4-1 victory over Ball Of Duty, while Murder On Zidanes Floor edged past Wanyamas In Pyjamas in a closely contested match that ended 2-1. Norfolk N Chance upset THE ALLIES FC with a 3-1 win. Jack's Army, with their striker scoring two goals, became the top scorer for the week in the division.

Division 1 saw Borussia Teeth dominate Dixy Pigeons with a 4-0 win, and Pain In Dias outscored Extra Special Ones 6-2 keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Misfits fetched a narrow victory over Gylfis Young Boys, winning 2-1. Pain In Dias' attacking midfielder, who scored a hat-trick, was the top scorer in Division 1.

In Division 2, Birdies Boys secured a 2-0 win over AFC Windmilldons, and Imatch FC and Kevos Kids shared the spoils with a 2-2 draw. Pukka Chronics displayed their prowess against Rubbergently with a 4-1 victory, with their forward bagging a brace, making him the top scorer in the division.

Division 3 provided some exciting matchups, with NetSixAndChill defeating Eric Bantona 4-1, while Zulu Warriors and Ricky Spanish FC ended in a 3-3 draw. The Griddlers and Set 8 also split points following a 2-2 draw. NetSixAndChill's winger, with two goals, was this week's top scorer.

Blue Crown FC claimed a 3-2 victory over EEFC in Division 4, and Kroos Control FC triumphed over Tuffnells FC with a 3-0 win. Rainbow Sparkles outclassed Real Sosobad with a 3-0 victory. The top scorer in Division 4 was a tie between Kroos Control FC's striker and Rainbow Sparkles' forward, both with a brace.

As we head into the fourth week of the Nuneaton Sunday league, the excitement continues to build up with teams striving for supremacy in their respective divisions.  We wish all teams good luck heading into game week five of the campaign with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!
