Sunday 16th April - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

The Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league held at The Nuneaton Academy on the superb 3G pitch saw some exciting matches as all the teams attended across all three divisions, barring Borussia Teeth who confirmed their return to action on Sunday 23rd April.

In the Premier Division, Jack's Army emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter against Gylfi's Young Boys, winning 5-2. Shed FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wanyama's In Pyjamas, while Misfits and Extra Special Ones played out an entertaining 2-2 draw.

In Division One, Birdie's Boys put in a dominant display, winning 8-1 against Rainbow Sparkles. Hardly Athletic were also impressive, securing a comfortable 5-1 victory over Egg Fried Reus. Dixy Pigeons edged out Homo Sissoko by a solitary goal, winning 1-0, while Backstreet Moyes recorded a 2-1 victory over Kroos Control.

The newly formed Division Two also saw some intriguing matches. Wootton Street Wanderers put in a commanding display, securing a resounding 6-0 victory over Unipart United. Lads on Toure were also impressive, winning 3-0 against Lemon Skittles. Schindlers Assist and Jubilee Juggernauts played out a goalless draw, while Who Ate All Depays and Globogym Purple Cobras also shared the spoils, with their match ending in a 0-0 draw.
