Sunday 19th November - Nuneaton Academy Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Nuneaton Academy Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled barring two.  Backstreet Moyes who have confirmed their return on Sunday 26th November and new team PhilHerWycombe who despite paying, also failed to arrive.  They will be spoken to and confirmed to return on Sunday 26th.


In the Premier League, THE ALLIES FC edged out Borussia Teeth in a captivating 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, FC POSITIVITY remained upbeat, securing a slim 2-1 victory over Wanyamas In Pyjamas.


Moving on to Division 1, Misfits and Tekkerslovakia battled to a 1-1 draw, while Gylfis Young Boys also shared the spoils with Unipart United in a 1-1 tie. The competition remains rife as teams continue to vie for dominance.


In Division 2, Hardly Athletic pulled out a narrow 1-0 victory over Beduff Rangers, while Globo Gym Purple Cobras and Kroos Control FC had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Extra Special Ones faced a tough loss against Murder On Zidanes Floor, with the latter team dominating with a 7-2 victory.


Over in Division 3, Ricky Spanish FC showed an impressive display with a 4-0 win over Kevos Kids, Rainbow Sparkles fell short against The Griddlers, losing 3-0, and West Wood Mongs pulled off a 2-1 win against Tuffnells FC.


Finally, in Division 4, Real Sosobad overcame CTFC in a 2-1 victory, Pain In Dias demolished Set 8 with a 7-1 win, while Do-little Fc lost 1-0 to NetSixAndChill.


Top goalscorers of the week were no doubt from Murder On Zidanes Floor from Division 2 and Pain In Dias from Division 4, both teams showing exceptional attacking prowess.


As we move into week 6, all teams are gearing up to climb the ladder and make their mark in the Nuneaton Sunday 6-a-side Football League.
