Sunday 1st March - Nuneaton Round-Up

Another excellent evening's football in the Nuneaton Sunday 6 a side league this week, saw all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night barring a late cancellation from Misfits on the day.

In the Premier League, the King Street All-Stars emerged as the standout performers, securing a commanding 5-1 victory over Age Doesnt Mateta. Despite the solitary goal from Age Doesnt Mateta, it was the All-Stars who demonstrated a superior understanding of the game's tactics and execution. EEFC also made their mark with a 2-1 win over Ladzio in a closely contested match. Norfolk N Chance and Puyol Pants Down both recorded clean sheets, defeating The Allies FC and Stevos Turtle Beach Headset by 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.

In Division 1, Extra Special Ones outplayed Ricky Spanish FC with a resounding 8-2 triumph, marking the highest scoring match of the week. In another fixture, The Ladthsss were narrowly defeated 1-0 by 2nd A Town in a hard-fought game while Salah-vation Army claimed a 3-1 victory over Rubbergently.

Rainbow Sparkles bagged a narrow win against Barely Athletic with a 2-1 scoreline in Division 2. Elsewhere, Tuffnells FC and Tiki Tanaka ended in a 1-1 stalemate in a match marked by resolute defence and missed opportunities.

We wish all teams good luck going into the next round of fixtures with Nuneaton's premier providers of small sided football!
